Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as children of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: “Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word” (CCC 1213)

In St John of God parish the sacrament of Baptism is celebrated on Sunday after 10:00am mass. It can also be arrange for another day. The process as follow:

  • Approach to the parish priest and ask him about information for baptism (anytime after mass)
  • Fill a baptismal form that the priest will give to you
  • Attend to baptismal preparation (Usually on Thursdays about 45 minutes)
  • Celebrate de sacrament of baptism (Usually on Sunday after 10:00am mass)
