First Reconciliation

SACRAMENT OF FIRST RECONCILIATION – Year 3 & above

The Sacrament of First Reconciliation at St John of God parish is available for Catholic children in year 3 upwards. The preparation will happen in term 3 of the school. It will start with a parents’ information evening and four weekly lessons for preparing the children.

  • Must provide a copy of the baptism certificate
  • $30 each child for the resource. To be paid at the parent information night.

Parent Information Night (children not required to attend) – Wednesday, 31st July at 7pm in the Church.

  • Commitment Mass – Weekend of 3rd/4th August

Wednesday, 21st August

Wednesday, 28th August

Celebration of First Reconciliation: Wednesday, 4th September at 7pm in the Church. 

  • More details of the program will be given at Information Night.
  • It is important that you enrol your child well in advance before the program begins.
  • To REGISTER, fill in an application form from the parish office or from Fr Richard after the weekend Masses. 
  • Return the forms as soon as possible.
